| intestinal parsites Miss Abagail is 11 weeks old.I have had her 3 weeks.The vet said she has intestinal parasites. She has bloody direr.She has been on medicine for 3 days.I have not seen any improvement.She acts like nothing is wrong but I worry about her.Has anyone been through this? |

| I would call my vet if she hasn't improved any at all. They may need to do a different treatment.

I just went through this with all 3 of mine...AT THE SAME TIME!! they also had a bacteria in there intestines as well as the giardia...I hate to tell you this but they were all on meds for a month..girardia is a very tough parasite to get rid of...if this is what she has. Mine were on metronidizol (sp?) and fortiflora, which is a probiotic...after 2 weeks on these it wasn't getting any better, so, my vet added panacur to the mix..(this for 5 days) they were all back to normal poop after all the meds were done...but, like I said...it took 1 month. Just wanted to add...if she still has blood in her poop i would be calling your vet back..JMO
