| "Chicken soup" must be good stuff!!! Well I had read about different foods and saw some of you were feeding the chicken soup dog food to your babies. But I had a huge bag of IAMS Puppy Smart from the breeder well we are just about out so I bought the chicken soup food to mix with her old kind.....You should see my kitchen front it is full of the IAMS food, she is picking it out and throwing it all over- she won’t touch it she is only eating the new food! I guess she likes the new stuff! I just hope it doesn’t hurt her belly- because if she vomits this momma will be right next to her doing the same! Has anyone else had such an experience with changing of their babies’ food?

| That's hilarious! I can just imagine what she is doing to your floor. Chicken soup is good. I mix four and it is one of them. They are kinda funny, aren't they?

| Stewie was bad w/ his food for a while -- until I got him Chicken Soup! I'm glad Macy likes it! Her tummy may get upset from the different foods so quickly, but if she keeps eating only the Chicken Soup I'd bet she gets acclaimated pretty quickly.

| My Jasmine did the exact same thing when I switched her to Innova Evo a couple of months ago. She's eight and had been eating Iams her whole life, so I was very precise in mixing 1 part Evo to 3 parts Iams in her first dish. I intended to transfer her very carefully and slowly, but nope, not happening! *smile* Jasmine picked every single kibble out of her dish, spread them all on the floor and then ate only the Evo. *laugh* These guys are so smart! So funny! |

She was eating Ceasars but she gained so much weight on it I was worried about her, just around her belly area. I wasn't so sure about the ingredients of the ceasar stuff so we are doing the Chicken Soup thing I hope she doesn't quit eating it.

| I'm going to switch to Chicken Soup, when his Nutro gets a little lower.

| Chicken Soup must be good stuff I have finally found success in combining Chicken Soup for puppies and Wellness Super 5 Puppy Mix. Both pups love this and even eat the Wellness as treats when they are rewarded for being good boys. Before this I have been through Royal Canin, (recommended by breeder), Science Diet, (recommended by vet), and Beneful. I am still trying to find a good moist food they love. The store I deal with is great in that they have pre-packaged samples of dry food and the owner has been working with me to find a moist food. They seem to tolerate Pinnacle Chicken, Rice and Vegetable and I am going to try Puppy Plate Homestyle next. I only buy one can at a time so I don't waste anymore money than necessary. I did find that mine did not like the moist Chicken Soup and the store owner told me her dachschund was the same way. Good luck! |

The store I got mine from doesn't have the moist kind only the kibbles, is the "Wellness" kind a name brand or type? I am finding the IAMS food all over the place even on/in the cushions of the couch! If I hadn't seen her putting in there I would have thought I had a MOUSE!

| I just switched Muffin to Wellness puppy food. My 2 1/2 year-old Maltese has always eaten Wellness but the kibbble is a bit too big for Muffin so I have to crush it up a bit. Muffin was on Royal Canine (recommended by breeder) up until two weeks ago but she was itching and flaking like crazy. Since the Wellness, both have subsided. I also put a teaspoon of Wellness canned puppy food mixed in with the kibble and Muffin just devours it! She was much more pickey with the Royal Canine. |

| Chicken Soup and Wellness Food Wellness is a brand of food that comes in both kibble and moist. I agree that the puppy kibble is a little larger than most others but Bogey and Gabey don't really seem to mind. Also, I mix it with the Chicken Soup kibble. I opened the can of Puppy Plate Homestyle by Merrick last night for dinner and was surprised to see that it was more of a consistency of a stew or soup rather than like pate. My older pup, Bogey, seems to like it where Gabey sort of sniffs it and walks away. It would be good mixed with rice but my pups don't like to have their food mixed. I would love to find a moist food that both of them enjoy at the same time. I can dream, can't I? |

| haha, Parker did the same thing when I switched him from Iams to Nutro, there were Iams bits all over the place! Unfortunately I recently tried to switch him to Wellness as well, but the pieces are too big so he is getting fed up with them and he's now spitting them all over the floor and sticking with his Nutro, too funny |
