| Really Bad Breath What does yt.com recommend for a 6 year old male who has the worst breath on the planet. I have only had him for about a month (rescued) and he has had bad breath the entire time. I have tried some treats (nutri vet) that claimed to freshen breath but its not working. Suggestions? |

| When he got checked out by the vet they didn't look in his mouth? Sounds like he could have an infection or something wrong in his mouth that needs a vet to look at.

| I agree - it sounds like he needs to see a vet. He probably needs a dental while being put under anesthesia to get below the gumline, etc. Then you can keep up with dental maintenance afterwards with a product such as HealthyMouth, Petzlife, etc and teeth brushing.

Great answer, his previous owners were probably not taking care of his teeth and a dental now is really important.

| Is he neutered? If not you can get the dental and neuter done at the same time.
