| Dumb Question I know I should know this, but my mind isn't thinking correctly. LOL When someone refers to boiled lean hamburger meat, do they mean you actually put the meat in water and boil it??

| There are no dumb questions. You can put the chopped meat in boiling water to cook it til it's cooked thoroughly. Then drain it to get any grease or fat out of it. You can even rinse it after it's cooked to make sure there's not a lot of fat left. |

| It means you are boiling meat that is already lean (93% or 96% lean beef). From there, you do what Sammy Mommy stated. I think you want to start with the leanest beef first not some fatty cut.
