| No Weight Gain Hello YT , I was just wondering is it normal for a 19wk old puppy not to gain weight for 3 wks. He hasn't lost any weight he's just kinda at a stand still. Secret is 3lbs. I'm wondering if he's done growing. His mother is 5lbs and dad is 7lbs. Feels great to be able to ask these type of questions to other yorkie owners! Aidhla n Secret |

| I don't know. Does he seem healthy? Energetic? Playful? Hopefully this bumps it up & someone can offer you information on normal growth rates/weight gain.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | It could be is growth rate is slowing down as he us nearing 5 months of age. He could have a few growth spurts before he's done growing. As long as he seems healthy it is probably normal.

| My Sassy is 8 months old and she has only gained 1/2 lb in 6 months. I had her spayed on Thursday and the vet said she runs off all the weight she gains and she is fine. She probably won't ever weigh much more than 6-7 lbs. My males have the same parents as Sassy and Hobbes weighs 16 lbs and Calvin 12 lbs. You never know what can happen. The parents weighed 7-8 lbs.

| Yes he is playful everything is normal with him. I've looked at the Yorkie weight chart and it estimates he will be 4.5lbs at his adult weight. So if the chart is right I guess I could understand him being at a stand still being that he won't be a yr old for 6 more months.

| My Riley was at a standstill around that time...... He gained a couple more pounds between 6-months and a year. The growth charts had him at 6 1/2 - 7 pounds. He is at about 8pounds 2ounces, now at 1-year. His Mom was 8 and his Dad was 4. |
