| I use Royal Canin's Puppy 33. Before that I had tried Nutro Lamb and Rice Puppy, and Nutro Ultra. (which is also supposed to be good), but I noticed that Tigger had been getting dry skin, so I switched treats and food. the treats because I wanted to monitor the sugar amount intake and food because I was afraid of food allergies. Since being on Royal Canin his hair is softer and shinier (sp?) and he only poops twice a day and they don't smell as bad. I love the food, and I know tigger does too and it's help improve his skin and hair. I highly recommend it!!! it may cost a little more but in the long run it costs less. believe me..... you'll be glad you made the switch. |

| Mine eat Royal Canin 28 and love it. I like the small kibbles. I was gonna switch them because Chachi has a skin allergy but I dont think it was food related and they love the food so ive decided not to switch.

| I have never tried Royal Canin. My kidz was on Wellness, and I switched to Bil-Jac. Today was their first day on it. I place equal amounts of Wellness & Bil-Jac in their bowl and each one picked out the Bil-Jac and left the Wellness. I am trying Bil-Jac because it has been recommended on this site and seems lots of yorkie lovers get great results using it. Thanks, everyone for the information. |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | I use to have mine on RC Yorkshire. That was when I noticed that Gracie would itch like crazy...I believe the first ingredient is corn (I know it's in the first 5 ingredients). And then she started developing tarter buildup. I can't say for sure that was the cause of it, but we switched, and she got her teeth clean. No problems, now.

| I feed Crystal RC lite and it works well but like Kimberly, I have heard alot of others saying there dogs were scratching like crazy so it's not good for all. I also feed Solid Gold Can in the evening.

| Lots of good read on Royal Canin.. long story short--way too much protein ! 33% is too high and there is alot of fat in RC. I was recommended NOT to use it by a vet and Yorkie breeder.

| They have a food for puppies, adult and those overweight in RC. Since I get the light I don't get the one for yorkies.
