| Is Pumpkin OK Everyday? Hi all : ) So after trying just about every good food on the market we have finally settled on Stella and Chewy's dehydrated raw lamb and beef flavor. Baby Chan loves it consistently! Yay! But I had been noticing that since on this food she seemed a little constipated. She was pooping hard small balls instead of one hard poop. I've been giving her about 1T of pumpkin everyday for the past week and her poos are now twice a day (morning and night) and instead of the balls they are bigger and more together. I think they look normal now. Anyone else experience this with raw or Stella and Chewy's? Do not want to switch foods so is the pumpkin ok to continue giving her? Thanks! |

| I would try giving her different types of foods. I give presto yogurt, boiled green beans, bits of apple, mango, orange. It adds variety to his food and also helps keep his tummy regulated |

| Oh yum! Don't know why I didn't think of giving her other good things like apple, green beans, mango etc.! I'm going to start! She like carrots every now and then. And she enjoys yogurt too! I think she will love some apple! Thank you : ) |

| I know some people who add canned pumpkin to homecooked diets- so I assume it is safe for everyday use- however, I would try out the other things- green beans worked great for us and my kiddos love sweet potatoes. Once it will give more variety, and two, there have been pumpkin shortages before and you don't want to be stuck with nothing.

| Mine are on a (prepared, store bought) raw diet and I add steamed fresh green beans and carrots. Mainly I do this because Sadie could stand to lose a few ounces and I can't stand to see her hungry. I add just a little bit of the vegatables gives her a fuller feeling. They love them. I've started using little bits of green beans for training treats. That amazes people as much as her tricks do!

| You can even feed other veggies i am sure but i like to boil them just so its easier for them! Pups love yogurt and rice also, you can mix them up together (just a teaspoon of each). I think its much healthier than any treats!! |

| Hey guys! Thanks! I knew I would get some great ideas here. I've read people mention green beans, carrots, apple etc. But was so focused on finding a main food Baby Chan would like that I couldn't even think of anything else! Now I can start giving her the fun stuff! She does love yogurt rice pumpkin so far! Can't wait to try orange apple green beans! And great idea to use fresh healthy snacks as treats! |
