| Well, all chews should be given only with supervision because they all present a choking hazard. Little bits of the Nylabone do come off and I don't imagine that's great for intestines, but maybe it's fine. There are so many different kinds of Nyla. It's really what you and your vet are most comfortable with. Most are pretty hard and so they are responsible for some broken teeth... If you put your finger into something and it has no give, chances are teeth can easily break from it. This includes ice...

| We tried Nylabones. Very bad experience. Remy loved chewing on them but they made him ill. Personally, I would definitely NOT suggest them. If you do use them, I would suggest very close supervision. |

| Find a butcher shop (if your local grocery store doesn't have them) and buy the beef femur bones cut small at about 1 or 2 inches long and a couple inches wide. Take the marrow out first as it's just pure fat and will cause some really loose watery stools.

| We give the hard non-edible Nyla bones. We have never had a problem with them but I ALWAYS throw them out once they start showing wear. |

| nylabone has a specific chew for puppies that i give to pixie under close supervision. they are nylabone puppy nutri dent edible dental brush chews. haven't had any problems with them but always keep a very close watch when she's chewing them. her favorite toy has been one of those crazy critters (the ones without stuffing and has squeakers on each end) she chews on that all day and drags it around the house. it keeps her very busy! and there's no stuffing inside she can get to! but she did manage to chew off one of the eyes after a few months lol.

| Is a raw carrot stick ok for a puppy? I bought some of the Nylabones today and I have to tell ya all, Bentley just loved them. He is teething and this bone has kept him busy all afternoon. He has been carring it around the livingroom. We took potty breaks(He went for mommy) Then he would go right back to it. I kept a close eye on him and he was just one happy baby. |

I now walk around jamming my fingernail into every treat/chew/ bone in a place to see if it is suitable. The only long lasting things my kiddos can chew on now are kongs.
