| Mia's got something.....ICK!! About 930 last night I got back from taking DS to a friends (thank goodness I didn't take Mia), and she had had a slightly loose stool on the carpet. She seemed to act fine. about 10 minutes later I found a VERY loose mess in another spot that was fresh. Cleaned her up, went to bed to watch tv and she had another ON MY HUBBY"S PILLOW!!!! It was instant like she couldn't control it. So, after an hour of cleaning off she went to her pen with lots of wee wee pads. I had to change one within about 20 min. By the time I got up this morning, the pads looked like they were polka dot! EEEEEWWWWWW!!! She seems fine, except for the poop. Should I just let it run( )it's course for a day or so, or should I take her in to the vet. She's never gone into heat yet and is 7 mo +, could it be a precursor to that? TIA |

| Poor little Mia, I hope she feels better soon. Id just make sure she doesn't get dehydrated and if you see her diarrhea continue or any other sypmtons Id take her in to see the vet pretty quick. Keep us posted on how she is doing.

| Aww - poor baby - and poor Mommy for having to clean that up. I really do hope she's okay. I agree with Schatzie, just watch for dehydration and lethargy and if you notice that, I'd call the vet. Yes, please let us know how she's doing!

| I hope she feels better soon! Everyone's right here so far. Just make sure she's getting plenty of water to drink and if you notice she's not drinking, run to the store and get some Pedialyte and a syringe so that you can make sure she's getting it in her system. That'll keep her from getting dehydrated. Keep us posted!

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | I would also suggest seeing a vet...Magic has something very similar and they gave her some medicine to help her stomach and she has been doing great since...like everyone else I would say make sure she is drinking and maybe eating a little bit...

| Mia is drinking her gatorade, has eaten a couple of treats (which is bits of Flint River Puppy kibble) and is VERY playful. She's had a couple of slightly formed stools and some that are a tiny bit of liquid, but only a couple since this morning. She did throw up once earlier - seemed to be the yellowish stomach bile. Otherwise seems fine. Just keeping an eye on things and seeing if we need to take her in in the morning. thanks |

| I'm glad she's doing a little better. Let us know if you took her to the vet, or if she's back to her old self again. It's funny how you can worry about another Yorkie that doesn't even belong to you. I've grown attached to so many Yorkies on here. |

| I haven't taken her in to the vet, but she seems a bit better still. Has only gone three times since I last posted about 6 hours ago. First time was fairly formed. Other 2 were just a series of little dots - Kind of like she's having tummy cramps and that's all that will come out. She did eat about 1/4 of her normal food and I've been giving her quite a few treats - the flint river food bits. She's sipped her gatorade and eaten a couple of ice cubes. Unfortunately, she's not well enough to sleep in our bed again tonight and she REALLY wants to. Hopefully tomorrow! Thanks for the thoughts. I'll keep you posted. |
