| I saw a flea!! and I am freaking out. I HATE fleas. But I'm hesitant to use that topical flea stuff on so small a furbaby. I give my 6 lb. cat the stuff and it messes her up for a day or so. What can I get for Tabby that's safe? |

| Hi, try washing Tabby in a shampoo with Tee Tree in in, or use 100% Tee Tree oil in your normal shampoo and conditioner (and comb through with a fles comb to remove eggs, if at that stage). Spray your pet beds, carpets etc with Flee spray, wash bedding at 60+ degrees. Obviously your cat is treated, but as they come into contact with other cats who are prob not treated, they can pick up the odd little begger, between treatments. I use "Frontline Spray" if I ever need to, I only use it very sparingly though, and reapply every week for 4 weeks to stop the cycle of eggs etc.......

| Thanks Anita. Since her "bedding" is MY bed and couch (etc. etc.) I'm going to have to vacuum and wash EVERYTHING. Argh. There was a little flea dirt on her too. OH I hate fleas. I was just reading something about garlic and brewers yeast. And NOT to give garlic to the cat. Anybody use this method? ... and I just ordered some electric flea traps. ... and I'm reading about non-pool grade diatomacious earth. Might get some of that too. |

| Troy is 4 pounds and I've used Frontline on him and had no problems. I also flea bombed my house when he got a flea this summer. Same thing, vaccum everywhere and don't forget to dumb the vaccum or change the bag. Dawn dishsoap kills on contact so I have some of that then I give him a regular bath. |

| Cesar got fleas when we went on vacation up north. He was loving the sand and rolling in it when he would come out of the water, so I'm guessing he got it there. The dawn dish soap worked and as I bathed him they were jumping and falling off and going down the drain. However, If the dog has had them for a bit, they could be in the house and without treatment they will just jump back onto him. I put the frontline on his back so if they do jump on him, they'll just die. It's also nice because any flea's in the house will surely jump on him, so it will get rid of whatever he brought in for good. |

| I don't think so. It's made by Procter & Gamble. I read that it is similar to Persil or Fairy. Does that help?
