Donating YT 500 Club Member | It's been a couple of years back, but yes I bought the supplement and tried their recipes. If I remember they sell 2 types, one with and one without a certain supplement or ingredient. I think Ellie May (?) might have more info than I remember. For convenience while we travel, I quit feeding home prepared on a full time basis and chose Wysong Foods...now I alternate between that and home prepared, using Wysong supplements. This is one of the recipes sent to me: ************************************************** ******* HIGH PROTEIN BEEF & BROWN RICE RECIPE WITH VEGGIES FOR DOGS FOR RENO from the kitchen of Mrs. Jennifer The following homemade recipe was specially created for Reno , a 2 yr. old male castrated Yorkshire Terrier using Balance ITŪ. This recipe has been formulated for a healthy pet. Reno currently weighs 5 lb. with a body condition score of 5/9. Based on his weight, his calculated energy requirement is around 207 Calories daily. The following recipe provides 223 Calories daily. RENO'S HOMEMADE FOOD RECIPE Ingredients Grams Amount (1) Vegetables, mixed, frozen, cooked, boiled, drained, without salt 34.1 g 3/16 cup (2) Rice, brown, long-grain, cooked 60.9 g 5/16 cup (3) Beef, ground, 85% lean meat / 15% fat, crumbles, cooked, pan-browned 49.6 g 1 3/4 oz (4) Corn oil 1.1 g 1/4 tsp PLUS 8 white scoops (3.52 grams) of Balance ITŪ canine per day Per Above Recipe: 223 Calories; 30% protein calories (67 Calories); 37% fat calories (83 Calories); 33% carbohydrate calories (74 Calories); 67.4% moisture. Note: These percentages do not correspond to the percentages listed on commercially made food. Preparation Instructions: This recipe represents the amount to be fed per day and can be fed in multiple meals. Multiple days worth of the food can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 weeks. Please wean your pet onto this new diet slowly over five to seven days. Pan brown the ground beef in a pan until fully cooked and drain excess fat. Cook the brown rice in water according to package directions until fully cooked. Boil or steam the mixed vegetables without any added salt. Once cooked, measure out the above amounts of cooked beef, brown rice, and mixed vegetables and cut into bite size pieces. Place the ground beef, brown rice, and mixed vegetables in a serving bowl and add the oil and the necessary supplement. Mix well and serve. The recipe must be followed exactly. Any alteration in amount or substitution of ingredients may cause adverse health consequences. Substitutions: Ingredients should not be substituted. Ingredients that may seem similar can vary greatly in the amounts and types of nutrients they provide. Please contact us if you would like alternative recipes. Measuring Ingredients: The fastest and most accurate way to measure the major ingredients in the recipe is to use a gram scale. These scales can be inexpensively purchased at office supply stores as well as at stores that sell kitchen supplies.

| I have been using Balance It for about a year and a half. I love the product and all my dogs are doing well on it. I have been home cooking for 10 years - I have done it many ways and by far Balance It is the easiest and cheapest option. I use it in conjunction with two nutritionist formulated diets that are tailored to my dogs and the third diet is a $25 diet I bought to go with the product from board certified vet nutritionist Dr. Remillard's website, www.petdiets.com I also want to caution that no one should copy anyone else's recipe, unless the dog is of the same weight and if followed exactly. All three of my dogs have different amounts of Balance It based on their individual diets even though all three of them weigh within 1 lb of one another.
