| Picky eater Pinicky Eater Thank goodness that I am not the only one gavubg this frustrating problem. I have a 4 month old and I guess I spoiled it too much that now I am having a problem letting him eat his regular dry food. It started when he came to Canada from AK, USA. He had diarrhea and was prescribed canned food which he totally loved. He was also able to taste cat food and from that time on ward he doesn't want to eat dry food but canned food. Wasnting my puppy to eat dry food as well I would mix 1 tablespoon of canned food with the dry food and he would eat it. But he get tired of it so being the worrying type I would buy other canned food as he has grown not to eat the ones I bought. He would eat this flavor for a day and tomorrow won;t eat it anymore wanting a new change in taste. Tried Nature Varitety's raw food which he totally doesn't like, Evo, Innova, Merrick, Nature's Homestyle, Instinct. Most of the good premium food I have tried. I dont knwo what to do. SHould I be firm and take out his food if he doesn't want to eat knowing that he will eat when he gets hungry with or without canned food. I am at a loss. Hoping to get your suggestion. Ally recommended Solud Gold Tripe but the food is not available in Canada. I bought a Tripet Tripe do give today. I am not sure if he will eat it. Luckily the pet store I go to dies exchanges on food opened. Would I need a supplement? * |

| This is what I would do if I were in your position. I would buy the dry dog food that I would want my puppy on (Get one of the better quality foods). I would then buy chicken baby food. I would mix the dry with the baby food and top it with parmesan cheese. He should eat this. Slowly, slowly try taking out the baby food and parmesan cheese. You really have to stick to your guns and not go back to the other foods you were giving him. He is expecting it - but don't give in. If the dry food is out, he won't starve himself. Maybe one day will go by and he won't eat - but he will the next. Good luck. |

| the thing that really work to entice appetite is green tripe by solid gold or tripett; that never fails. the baby food and parmesean cheese can be ok at first but can cause digestive problems in the long run. to be sure he eats his food; try a high quality canned food and add a teaspoon of tripett; and u see how fast he will eat that food. just switch slowly to avoid digestive upset. good luck
