| I think it's $180ish for a consult. PMing somebody who has taken her pup to one to answer this for you.

| Baxter was referred to one and for the consult it was right around 150. That was with no special diagnostics done. His eye had been pierced at the top in an attack by a husky, and he had a large clot in the back that obscured the retina. Basically, it was to tell us that we had to either wait for the clot to resolve, (months to wait) or do seriously expensive procedure in Chicago in order to see around the clot. We chose to wait.

| Lady goes to an ophthalmologist regularly. Her last office visit last summer was about $90, I think. Tests are extra so it depends on what tests they do. A routine checkup would be about $150 here. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I just recently took Wylie and it was $300. I'm not sure why it was so much more, it may be bc I knew up front we were coming in for analysis of a cataract - and so, they quoted me that price right away. This specialist group is the specialist group we go to for anything beyond a general vet (Internist, Derm, etc). They spent over an hour w/ me and Wylie, and ran several tests on his eye during that time (maybe 6 or 7?). If you are taking your kiddo in for an office visit that doesn't involve all that testing, I don't think it'd be $300.
