| excitement pee pee? Kylie is doing GREAT in the crate. She sleeps 7 hours straight without crying (sometimes she cries during the day if I am not in sight) and hasnt had any accidents! BUT when I approach the crate to take her out, she starts to pee a little. I dont talk to her or make eye contact to not make her excited, but it doesnt work! She still pees a little (I hold her and bring her right outside!) ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE?! I keep washing towels and blankets and she doesnt like when she does it I feel bad!!

| How old is she? I remember Bailey having excitement pee when I would get company. She outgrew it -I just don't remember exactly when, but I think it was before she was a year old. I was going to advise being calm as you approach the crate, but I see you are already doing that. Last edited by Philly; 05-16-2010 at 05:08 PM. |

| She is now 17 weeks old. I have had her for a week and the excitement pee pee seems to be happening more frequently (I think she gets more excited to see me now that she knows me!) I dont know what to do!

| I got an owner turn in of an IG puppy that the owner said he didn't have time for because of a new situation at work. The puppy was young, about 15 or 16 weeks old. When my temporary foster home picked the puppy up, the owner said the puppy was a happy pee-er. My volunteer said the puppy would kind of leak pee when she got excited. We vet all our dogs and the puppy needed her immunizations. We had a urinalysis done at the same time. Sure enough, she had a urinary tract infection. Once she was treated, she never had another problem.
