| What dental products do you uses? What products do you use to keep your babies teeth clean? Teddy just had his teeth cleaned today and didn’t have any pulled. We are lucky. Teddy is my big boy Maltese who is 8 years old. I have learned on this forum the importance of dental hygiene on these little babies. A friend of mine uses DentaTreat to brush her babies’ teeth. Does anyone use this powder? You can put it on food or brush their teeth with it. What other products do you use to keep the plaque and tar down. Thanks for your help.

| I use the Nutri-Vet Enzymatic Toothpaste on both Brody and Rhianna with a finger brush that my vet gave me. I try to brush nightly, I have no problem with Rhianna because she knows when I'm getting ready for bed that its her "tooth time" too . . . I do have to hunt for Brody though . he'll usually hide . . .but they both really like the taste of the Nutri-Vet. I have noticed a lot of improvement in Brody's teeth and breath. Rhianna has awesome teeth with minimal tartar buildup. Brody's are a bit different, but since I've been brushing his teeth have really improved. I wish I started it sooner.

| I got some doggie toothpaste (meat flavored, I think) from Petsmart and have been brushing 1-2x per week, along with spraying Petzlife once a week.

| we use a vanilla mint toothpaste for pets. Everyone likes that. Daisy likes peanut butter flavored pet toothpaste as well.

| I use PlaqueOff by proden. You just add a small amount to food once a day. It has done wonders for my dogs teeth. Over time the plaque softens and just falls off. I love this stuff!!

| Teddy came home at 2:00 and boy are his teeth white. He got a sealant application put on and OraVet Plaque Prevention Gel to be put on his teeth starting in 2 weeks. Also got CET Aqua Dent for the drinking water but I understand that one of the ingredients can make dogs sick. Thanks for all the suggestions. I just want to keep Teddy and the rest of my babies from having to go through this again.

| I use these as they have chlorhexedine in them which kills bacteria so the tartar does not build up Pet Dental Care: Drs. Foster & Smith Dental Clens® Pads for Dogs |

the chlorhexedine can make them vomit if they drink it and this has xylitol in it so i would not use this it is ok to wipe the chlorhexedine on teeth as i have no issues with mine but I would not let them drink it and xyitol is not good for dogs | |

| I use ClearQuest dental solution for Neo. I add one teaspoon per eight oz of water(filtered of course). The ingredients are: Purified Deionized water, Stabilized Chlorine Dioxide, Sodium Benzoate, and Organically-derived Chlorophyll. I hope it doesn't have anything iffy in it , because "Mr. Picky" seems to like it. I get chewed up whenever I brush his teeth (and have even when he was a baby!). |
