| My "Oso" Hello! New to site and really worried. I bought my Yorkie Oso from a pet store. I was told never to do this because they are not honest and don't take care of pets well. But I fell in love with the little guy; they told me he was 2 months. I took him to the vet the next day and they gave him his first shot, got his temperature and an oral de-wormer. They said he is 1 month tops. I got so scared and wanted to take even more care of him for not being with his mommy. Well, the food the pet store was giving him was dry puppy food soaked in hot water for 30 mins. He is eating really well and staying hydrated. He is also doing his little potty business really well. That is until today. I found blood in his stool. I am devastated! I don't want anything to happen to him. It's only been 4 days since I brought him home. How should I proceed? Emergency vet??? He was in good spirits this morning, ate and potty and went back to napping. Thanks in advance! |

| Hey guys! I just added a pic I took a few minutes ago as my avatar. He is back to his mischeavious way. He checked negative for parvo virus. He did have a cold and that's why he was sneezing. Doctor gave me antibiotic for him and told me I could buy nutrical also, which I did. Last time he had eaten was about 730am. About 30 mins ago, 330pm I tried force feeding him with a little syringe thingy and he wasn't liking at first but after the third squirt he seemed famished and started eating the real food. I am so happy!! Right afer he ate he peed on the floor of course and started playing again. The doc did say that I need to watch him make sure he doesn't get diarreah and if he does to take him in asap cause it might be something like destemper. Said the poop could be from straining while doing #2. Thanks for your support. |
