| $94.00 for Dasuguin!! I just picked up a bottle for Prince yesterday and was very surprised with the price. Is this the going rate? I do not purchase meds online (beyond my comfort level) and was wondering what anyone else has paid, if they got it directly from their vet. The bottle contains 150 tablets, and he will get a 1/2 a day, so that's about 10 months worth. Prince is extremely sensitive to meds, and his doctor said if there were a negative reaction, I could return it and get my money back. He just had his second half, and so far...so good. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Dasuquin is a new breed of joint health supplement in a tasty chewable tablet for dogs that goes beyond standard glucosamine supplements. It contains avocado/soybean unsaponifiables, or ASU, fortified with green tea, combined with glucosamine hydrochloride and low molecular weight chondroitin sulfate. It is the most complete joint support supplement available. Contraindications While sensitivity to avocados has been reported in a few dogs, taking Dasuquin tablets is not the same as eating whole avocados. The ASU in Dasuquin has been evaluated in a safety study in dogs, and no adverse effects were noted from administration. There are no known contraindications or known interactions between Dasuquin and any drug or nutritional supplement. Side effects Observe your dog closely, and notice whether your dog seems more comfortable doing those activities he/she seemed reluctant doing or had some trouble doing previously. Changes in your dog's comfort level may occur gradually. Allow time for your dog to respond. It may take 4-6 weeks, though some dogs may respond sooner. Dosage and Administration The Dasuquin chewable tablets can be given as a treat or crumbled and mixed with food according to these directions. For the initial 4 to 6 week administration period for dogs weighing 60 to 120 lbs give 2 chewable tablets daily. The suggested maintenance level for dogs 60 to 120 lbs is 1 chewable tablet daily. Active Ingredient(s) Glucosamine Hydrochloride (900mg), Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate (350mg), Avocado/Soybean Unsaponifiables (90mg). Also contains Microcrystalline cellulose, artificial roast beef flavor, natural and artificial cheese flavor, dried brewer’s yeast, gum resin, tea, magnesium stearate, soy protein isolates, mixed tocopherols, soy lecithin, silicon dioxide, natural and artificial flavoring

| I had to buy more cosequin a few months ago and got the same $$ surprise you did. Like you, I don't usually order meds online, but the website Entirelypets.com came highly recommended to me (by Ellie May, Wylie's Mom and others). Their prices are half of what the local store's prices are. I'd recommend at least taking a look at their site. Also, google their site name for coupons and you should be able to at least get free shipping.

| Generally I purchase meds from Ellie's vet, but supplements online. Supplements are just crazy-expensive from most vet offices and I'm not willing to spend that much when I can get them so much cheaper somewhere else. When Ellie was on Cosequin, I did get it from entirelypets. I also use AlliVet. Why Dasuquin instead of Cosequin?

| Dasaquin is stronger than Cosequin. I give it to TJ, but not Roxy bc is has liver and yeast in it, which is a no no for liver issue dogs. I get it online and pay about $40 |

| We sell Dasuquin at out clinic and also in our online store connected to us. A 150 count bottle is $89.99 so your price is probably not to far off.

| Snick is also on Dasuquin (for the rest of his life due to LP and LP surgery) and it was also 88 bucks for the bottle!!! We got it from his vet so trusted what she recommended. Snick has to have it....I recommend all Yorkies be on a glucosamine supplement due to joint problems being problematic in the breed. If anyone is having issues with your pup eating the tablet daily....I use a mortar and pestle and crush the tablets up and then lightly sprinkle it on Snick's raw. This is the only way I ensure he takes it daily. Otherwise the half tablets just lay around and he never eats them. Smiles- Snick & Viv

You are right, but she has allergies and there was a questionable ingredient (for her) in it, so we stopped it.
