| Hair not growing on ears..normal? The majority of yorkies I see have lots of hair on their ear area, some even look like pigtails, very cute! The hair on Bailey's ears hardly seems to grow at all, just a little wispy, it has never needed to be trimmed and he is over 10 months!. Anyone know if this is normal for a yorkie, or have a yorkie with similiar ears? You can see what I mean in this pic user19197247_pic82656_1266278363.jpg

| I just bathed Dezi this morning & was thinking oh, I should trim his ears everyone seems to say if you don't trim the ears the hair will make the droopy...well I couldn't find anything that looked like it needed to be trimmed either!! Since ours are both about the same age maybe it just hasn't grown yet. I don't know (he is closer to 10 months now, earlier picture but no more hair grew on his ears) |

| do you want the hair on his ears to grow? I don't, I've seen some pics of some & I don't really like it, at first I thought it looked cute but ??? It also seems like a lot of work & looks hot in the summer. Don't dogs sweat through their ears? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | They are both adorable and some just have more hair on their ears. I keep mine shaved at the tips.

| No I guess not, I was just curious to how "normal" it was. I went through many YT'ers albums, and there are a number of yorkies that I found with little ear hair, not sure if it's natural, or if they were trimmed though. Have you had Dezi groomed yet? Bailey's coat is very slow growing.
