Weight My yorkie was born in March, and now weighs at least 12 pounds. He is a pure breed, but people keep trying to dispute that, because of his size! (which really annoys me)! Anyone else with a larger baby?

Don't worry...my Keegan is 14.6#. If he is not fat...meaning...you can feel his ribs without them sticking out...he's a healthy baby boy. CONGRATS on your Teapot Yorkie!!!! A LOT of us have them!

| I have a 15 pounder thats not fat. When ever people ask me what Callie is I always answer with bigger yorkie and they never say anything about her size unless they comment about liking that shes bigger but Callie is perfect for me and my family and we love her so much that sometimes its just better to try and brush off what people say. Or just say whatever you say and smile and walk away.

Thomas is registerd with the Universal Kennel Club International ( I dont know a lot about all of that) Thanks so much for all of your responses! We love him so much..just the way he is. Especially since, when we got him he looked as if he was on the brink of death! (that's where his name Thomas J came from..the sickly little boy on the 'My Girl' movie) He is very healthy now..not fat..just large. It's the 'other' yorkie people we see that make the comments. 'oh he is so big'..'is he mixed'?..'our baby weighs only 3 pounds'..as if I have something defective and they dont! arg! I just have to remember how rude people can be..and move on. Thanks again...and I am going to remember the 'teapot' comment..I love it!

we love our teapot. she weighs 13 pounds now. but she can go up and down the stairs as she pleases...jump on and off the beds and couches...she goes to the river with us...she hikes and camps with us. she basically does everything we do. thank goodness she's as big as she is. i would hate to have to carry her everywhere we went. we love her just as she is...and it's great to have more to love

Our Archie weighs in at a whopping 10#!! He is all muscle & all boy! He loves playing with the bigger dogs. I'm glad he is a "TeaPOT Yorkie"! The Teacup seem so fragile. I love taking him to dog parks with his sister, Lily, who is a 20# Cockapoo. They love wraslin' with each other...no "sissy" boy for this family!!
