| Indy's stitches came out yesterday! I took him to the vet yesterday, it has been 2 weeks since his liver shunt surgery. The incision looks great and all ten of his little stitches were removed. He was weighed and has gained a whopping 1.8 lbs since his surgery! I told him he's a little piglet! He is now a giant Yorkie weighing in at 10.8lbs! He was allowed to play with his big brother, Hunter (our German Shep) for the first time in 2 weeks and oh what a reunion! They were so glad to be able to touch each other. Indy has been in a play pen since his surgery in a desperate attempt to keep him quiet. Pulling Hunter's tail was quite the happy event for him, and I think even Hunter missed it! Next big hurdle is in 5 weeks he has to have another bile acid test to see where his levels are. Hopefully they will be down. |
