| Retained Puppy Teeth My 6month, Huggy, has 2 retained canines (sp), the adult canines are about 1/2 in, my Vet recommends extracting the puppy teeth next week. What is others experience with this problem. Did most of you wait a while longer or pull immedately. My Vet said that not pulling them immediately can cause misaligned teeth with the possibility of Braces, and that rotting baby teeth can cause decay to spread to the adult teeth. He is scheduled for next friday. Any comments on when to pull the baby teeth or did anyone have this experience with their pup? Thanks |

| Apple has 3 retained canine teeth, and all 4 of her adult canine teeth are in, and she's 9 1/2 months old...My vet said not to worry about it, 'till she is a year old...Then they have to come out...Since teeth are his specialty, I'm thinking this is probably good advice...At a year old, if he has to extract those teeth, he will clean and scale them, and do whatever is necessary for a nice healthy mouth |

| No don't get them pulled yet, she has time. My Jemma retained all 4 canine, but one just let loose. She has another back tooth loose and it's ready to pop and she's 8 months old. Just wait awhile longer. I agree 100 percent with the above poster
