Stitches not disintegrating like they are supposed to Luigi had surgery on Monday June 29. He went in to be neutured a week earlier but he was missing a testical. So they postponed surgery until the 29th because now they had to go in and look for the other testical in his abdomen. Well he has 3 insicsions that have disintegrating stitches. It has been 15 days and all the stitches are still there except for 2 that fell out. Does anyone know if this is normal or if they should have come out by now. They are not bothering him he isn't even licking or chewing at them.

It can sometimes take months for all the stitches to disintragrate. As long as they aren't infected don't worry

Thanks everyone !! Thanks, yes I was beginning to panic. I feel so much better now. He is doing great running around like a crazy dog. He doesnt' even bother with the stitches. He is so my little man. He did great with the surgery, I was so scared. Afterward he wore a onsie for 10 days, he looked so cute and it worked great except I had to change him about 7 or 8 times a day. Because he kept going to his peepad and by the time I got to him to unsnap him it was too late. But other than that he did really good.
