sneezing/allergies? Bobo has been sneezing a lot the past 2 days. It even woke us up last night. Other than that, he seems to be o.k. We recently added a cat to the household. Is there such as thing as a dog literally being allergic to a cat? Or could it just be rising pollen levels outside? And finally, should I try to do anything about it? He seems better during the day.

Andromeda has allergies at certain times during the year. During those times I put her on Antihistamines, as she develops esophagitis due to the sinus drainage. Check Bobo's nose to see if it is running. You will see a clear watery discharge. It sounds like he has them pretty bad. You might think about just getting him on something during this time of the year. Andromeda stays on her meds for about 4-6 weeks during the early summer, and then after that she is fine. It costs me maybe around $12-$24 for the meds for that period. Cat dander may also be the cause as you stated having a new pet. I would try the Antihistamines from the vet, that would probably take care of either one. Best of luck.

That's a good idea. I checked and his nose doesn't seem to be running, but we have had a LOT of rain lately and mold is everywhere outside so maybe that is it. I will call the vet tomorrow a.m. and ck on anithistimines.

We have been having a deluge here as well! Cannot complain though, my garden is loving it. Please keep us updated tomorrow as to what the vet says. I hope he feels better soon, poor little guy!
