| Luigi was supposed to be neutured... Luigi was supposed to be neutured last Thursday. Had his appointment all set up, dropped him off at 8:30 am. I waited to hear from the vets office finally at 1:00pm my daughter calls to find out any info. They tell her he hasn't even had surgery yet. She hangs up looking confused. They call back 1/2 hour later to inform me that they have a problem. They can't find his one testical. It isn't in its sac and they have been pressing on his groin and stomach area and can't find it. They don't want to do the surgery and just remove one if the other one is floating around somewhere in there. They are going to keep him for a few hours and see if it emerges. At 6:00 the vet calss and said it didn't happen. We could go and get him and talk about it. We go get him and the vet says we could call in a Sonogram Doc but just to get him here is 400.00. Then he says he should never have been sold to you without being told of this problem. So now we are working on a solution to this Here is the other problem. When he went to the vet last week he was about 85% potty trained on pee pads. Doing extremely well very little accidents. When he came home and since then he has been peeing little squirts everywhere even on peepad (never a big pee). I called doc. He said, "I was pushing on his belly extremely hard looking for teste, he could have a urinary tract infection". He said, "look for blood in urine" (haven't seen any). I haven't seen any blood but it has been 5 days and still peeing little squirts everywhere. No yelling when he pees, doesn't seem to be in pain, just little squirts in very unusual place anywhere and everywhere, middle of the kitchen floor, on living room coffee table, twice on couch. I know they mark, but usually on perimeters or on things. I am going crazy. Calling Vet back today. Any one have any ideas on this. |

| The whole thing doesn't sound right to me at all. First, if he has cryptorchidism, his testicle is likely just retained and the vet needs to open up his abdomen and look for it. That is the procedure as far as I know. It is just more involved than a regular neuter. If you have reason to believe that the urination issue is not marking, he needs to have a urinalysis.

| Lots of dogs have to have it done and if it is seen on ultrasound, he still has to go in there and get it and you are out $400. I guess I'd just proceed cautiously because that is a lot of money for a test that may not need to be done...
