| Puppies or a false pregnancy? I need your help today... As some of you might remember Mikki tied with Maxie (neutured) at the end of March. I took Mikki to the vet's and she told me that there is no way she could be pregnant but ever since she tied she is changed, sometimes a bit sluggish and way more cuddly and lovey dovey. Since a few days I noticed that her tummy was slightly swollen and today when I put a little bit of pressure on one of her tiets milk came out... I'm almost sure it's a false pregnancy and try desperately not to panic... Should I take her to the vet's again? What else can I do? |

| If your boy was neutered, then it is a false pregnancy. It isn't uncommon for them to produce milk with a false pregnancy and to gain a little and act different. I have had that happen with two of my girls. It is just like a real pregnancy expect there are no puppies. She may even start carrying around a stuffed toy as if it was a puppy. Within another month she should return back to normal.

| Oh thanks! She does carry a toy around with her and she even digs 'nests'... Another question... she is supposed to get spayed in 2 weeks. Should we postpone that until she is 'normal' again? |
