| Impacted teeth making my pup sick? HELLLLPPPPPPPP Does anyone have any advice or experience with their pup having impacted teeth that perhaps made them sick? My pup has his adult teeth in and unfortunately his canines refuse to come out. The vet a few weeks ago said that we should wait it out and see if they fall out but this isnt the case. They are loose but not loose enough where we could yank them ourselves. I dont know what to do. This morning my baby is ill and throwing up and crying and again I am waiting for the vet to get in but need some advice asap. Any thoughts???? Did anyone try and coarse the teeth out themselves in order to avoid the thousands of dollars of dental costs?

| It doesnt cost thousands of dollars to have teeth removed. Usually it is just the cost of the anesthesia then they may charge a little bit of money per tooth. I had it done at the neuter. I would get it done right away. what is your yorkie doing that you know hes ill? I quess it could be because of the teeth or another reason

| A lot of Yorkies have to have baby teeth removed and it shouldn't cost nearly $1000. It is usually done during spay/neuter and the vet can just charge by the tooth. It should cost probably $30 or less per tooth if he is already under or $200-$400 if he is going under just for this.

| I would call your vet and get a quote on what it will cost. I had Chachi neutered and 4 teeth removed for $130. The vet didnt even charge me for the removal of the teeth since I did it at the neuter

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I doubt the teeth are causing the vomiting. That sounds like another issue entirely. Impacted teeth can result in an infection but the symptoms are stinky breathe, sometimes fever and lethargy. Since Frazier is being shown he wasn't neutered...when I had 6 baby teeth removed it cost me $275. Prior to having them removed surgerically the vet recommended we wiggle them with a finger or give bully sticks...unfortunately neither of those worked but did with another of ours.
