Donating YT 10K Club Member | There are a few threads on YT you can search and here's a couple of links I found on line. Is this a pup in a litter you bred or a puppy you purchased? Swimmer Puppies: Puppies that have Difficulty Standing The Swimming Puppy Syndrome

| The puppy can't get upright on his legs. He scoots on his chest with his legs out to the side. It looks like a turtle swimming. There are several opinions on how it develops but I need some advise on rehabbing him. He is 4 weeks. |

| Swimmer Puppy My friend is a yorkie breeder (just started) and has what I think is a swimmer puppy...Although her front legs do not spread out. She can stand but when she starts to walk she drags her back legs. She is so fat that when I went to see her I couldn't tell if she has a flat chest or not. I just met this lady on one of my yorkie groups that I am a member of and found out that she lives about 35 minutes form me. She has new puppies and I had never seen a new yorkie baby before. So, you know that I had to go..lol... I have 3 adult yorkies that are retired breeders. There is NOTHING like having a yorkie... Please give me any advice that you can.. I have looked up things online and some say that if you put the puppy on a rough surface that it will cure its self and some say that you have to put the animal down. She has a appointment to take the baby to the vet Thursday to see def what it is. Anything that ya'll can tell me would be great!!... |
