| Roxy needs your thoughts and prayers for tomorrow My Roxy goes for surgery tomorrow for luxating patella for both legs and I am so anxious. I fear that she will sense this from me and of course I may break down when I drop her off. I am hoping I make it through the day. If anything happens to her I shall never forgive myself and just freak out. Is this normal to have these emotions for a yorkie? I've have never had a female doggie and I just am so attached to her. Please keep her in your thoughts for a good outcome and recovery. Thank you. |

| I completely understand how you feel! Chelsea will need LP surgery soon, also, and I am already a nervous wreck over it! The feelings are very normal - these are our babies. I'll pray for a successful surgery and completete recovery for Roxy. Sending best wishes and hugs to you both!

| Please keep us posted. We'll be praying for you and you baby. Max has a vet appt today for check-up and shots. I get scared when he gets shots. I was a mess for his neuter. I had them call and update me when he went in, came out, in recovery, ...whenever thay had anything to tell me. Ask them to call you.

| Roxy's home That was a long 24+ hours. Surgery went fine with no complications. Her surgery wasn't at the time they said. She was not done until 6:30 PM, Friday. They said the Vet had some emergencies. She was released right away though on Saturday. At first she couldn't walk but now has it down. She has even tried to run. Of course had to cut that out. My pups have always had a feeding schedule and she has been kept to that. She has readily eaten her food of Merrick & Tripe and seems to have no stomach issues with her meds. She has urninated but has yet to defecate. She has never been crated. Of course when leaving the house she will be crated but for now she is confined in a very small area with her pillow, Favorite toy, food & water and a potty pad. She is happy in her area. She is not chewing on her legs or wrappings but I can't check her feet as they say because they are all wrapped up. We go back next Saturday for a check up. |

| I'm just checking in Roxy. So glad to hear she's home with you. I'm curious - what did you mean about her feet being wrapped up?

| Roxy's wrap It seems that they wrapped both her feet completely. I am unable to look at them to see if there is any swelling going on. The only thing I can do is look at her thighs to check for any swelling. She is handling it well and can walk with the "casts" and has even tried to run but we had to cut that out and leash her outside. Now she is completely confined until potty breaks. Luckily, I am able to stay home for a week with her to get her used to confinement which has been really hard as she had full reign of the house. |

| Aww, I'm glad to hear she's doing so well. So, she had casts put on her legs after the surgery? It seems like there's so many ways this surgery is done, and I'm trying to learn what to expect when Chelsea has hers done. I'm sending her lots of hugs and smooches while she's confined!
