| herbal/natural Prednisone substitute? My baby, JaJa, has been on prednisone for almost 2 yrs. and will need to be on it the rest of her long life. Wondering if anyone has experience with a herbal/natural prednisone substitute? Where to get it? I've heard that some holistic vets prescribe it. Thanks |

| Intestinal Lymphangiectasia Yes, she has Intestinal Lymphangiectasia, A Protein-Losing Enteropathy. She was diagnosed 2 years ago, is now on a schedule of 1.25mg/day Prednisone for 2 days then 1 day off, on for 2 days/off for 1 day etc. She gets blood work/check ups every 6 weeks and so far no bad effects from the Pred. ( except constant hunger & urination). JaJa is 9 years old. I don't like keeping her on Pred. but our vet says it is keeping her alive & healthy... |
