| Dramanine? My puppy gets car sick. We are planning on visiting family and it is a long ride. How much dramanie should I give he is 8 lbs? Does it make them sleepy? |

| My vet suggested half a tablet for a six pound dog. yes it does make them sleepy. I used to have one that got sick everytime we traveled to a dog showw. Eventually had to stop showing him.. |

| Most dogs do not "actually" get car sick. There are all kind of articles on line on how to work with them to keep them from getting sick. It's more nervousness than actual car sickness. You can get some ginger cookies and give him, that tends to cut down on the sickness. Also, they are better for them. Myself, I would never give dramamine |

| There are lots of more natural remedies out there also. I would definitely ask your vet about the correct dosage.
