| Sadly most "good foods" seem to be having quality control issues lately or have their food manufactured at questionable facilites. I have heard of different objects in Natura products and what looks like fish bone. The possible fish bone goes for Natural Balance and Wellness too. With those kinds of reviews, I'd hesitate to feed it but is this just one site or all over the net?

| there was another one that said cn should not be the only food you feed. I didn't know if this was a ture review or not, I was hoping someone on here was also feeding this food. Of course the company only gave pros, and no cons. I know that you home cook for ellie but if you had to pick a dry food which one would you choose. right now I am feeding cn lamb and rice and nb duck and potatoe. I would appreciate your input as you have done a lot of research on food issues.

I would consider the Natura line (Innova, Cal. Nat.) but obviously I am questioning that now. Some types of Wellness and Natural Balance may be okay. While the ingredients in Chicken and Ricd Scince Diet Nature's Best aren't nearly the best and there are a couple common allergens in the food, I almost trust Sci. Diet's quality control more than these smaller, holistic companies, so I'd have to consider that food.

| [QUOTE=Ellie May;2408035]Well, there is a long list of foods I would not feed but not many I would. Diet's quality control more than these smaller, holistic companies, so I'd have to consider that food.[/QUOTE Thanks for your input, I had thought about S.D. but I was concern about the pork fat, in the natural diet. Wicket did get sick while on this food but I am not sure it was the food that made him sick, or something else after spending 3 day at the vet, I was unsure about putting him back on it, they put him on reg S/D and he did fine on it. this happen last April and has no problems since, I did take the Cal. Nat. away from them, so right now they are only on Natural Balance duck and potato . I might try the S/D again. The big dogs really appreciate all these different types of food we have been trying they get what we don't feed the small ones. I wish there was one food company we all could trust out there.

SD regular made Ellie sick also (before I knew that this wasn't the best choice). She threw up every couple weeks on it. The pork fat makes me think the food should be on the "really bad list" and maybe it should but I see no really good dog food right now. Pork fat can trigger pancreatitis but as long as it's a low fat kibble, it may not be too bad. Why not just stick with the NB if they are doing well on it?
