| 103.0 temp and panting/puppies born at 9AM Bella is panting badly, and temp is 103. Not completely sure third placenta came out or not. Call Emergency vet, they want to see here, we are packing her up. Never been to this emergency clinc. Thought I would check with all of you quick to see if this is a normal reaction if a placenta is still inside her from 9am this morning? Please reply quickly we are just waiting for the car to warm up. Thank you! |

| We were at the emergency vet til 11:30pm. They did x-rays and blood work all came back good, no problems. They are guessing she caught a cold, and offered antibotics, but said she would not clean her pups anylonger because of the taste of their droppings becomes undesirable due to the antibotic. Her temp in the meantime went down to 102.2, so we opted to keep an eye on her taking her temp frequently to see if it comtinues to drop which it did. Although today last temp taken this morning was 102.4 and she is continuing to try and move the runt out of the box, as well as bedding in other areas of the house. I don't think she likes the box. Talked to the vet this morning, and have the puppies visit scheduled for tomorrow as well as having mommy looked at. We have heated hardwood floors, and I'm starting to wonder if it is to much for her. Even have an area with a sponging flat cotton cover square thinking this would not be as hot, but she doesn't sit on it. The rest of the area of the box I have 2 blanket laid down on the floor, just enough to stll keep heat on the puppies. |
