| That link doesn't work any longer. Any chance you know of another article with that information. If the dogs are less than 5lbs could I cut the dose in half? |

| That warning is for dogs that are being treated with large doses of Ivermectin as in treatment for mange. Here is a link: FDA issues safety warning on Comfortis-ivermectin interaction - July 15, 2008 As for Comfortis, I have seen enough complaints to tell me I would not mess with it. I would not cut the dose unless you call the manufacturer for advice about doing that.

| it is in high doses of ivermectin and ivermectin is used for demodex mange and ivermectin is not fda approved in dogs so it is used off label - it is a strong drug and should NEVER be mixed with ketoconazole as well as that can lead to ivermectin toxicity as well as keto breaks the blood barrier wall allowing ivermectin to go to the brain and dog goes into seizures then coma. My friends dog had this as those two drugs keto and ivermectin were mixed by dermatologist and she almost lost her but she lived luckily as they are like sleeping beauty and come back out of it if lucky |
