| Does Neutering Calm a Dog? Logan has been so calm since he got neutered Tuesday. He is not on any pain medication and seems to have his energy back. He plays, eats, drinks, and goes for walks. But he seems calmer and actually lays down occasionally and sits with us on our laps at night. He's 10 months old. Is it just his age, the neutering, both? Or do you think he's still just recovering? |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Personally, I think he's still recovering, it does calm your dog, but usually it takes a couple of months before the hormones are out of his system. Do you live nearby female dogs that could be in heat? The energy that an unaltered dog displays is not so much a playful energy, but an anxious,"I want to get out of the house" energy.
