| dish soap bath to detect fleas? I had heard that if you give them a bath in Dawn then you can dectect fleas before they are visable. Is this true? Does it have to be dawn? Does it dry them out? |

| I don't know about that but I DO know that a bath in Dawn Original (this kind only) will kill fleas.

| i have used Dawn for years. In fact in summer, it is my "shampoo of choice". It does not protect from fleas but kills them on the spot. You can literally see fleas trying to crawl away from the soap. Once the fleas are dead, you just comb them off. It hasn't damaged my coats yet but I always heavy condition. |

| Interesting, i just shaved mine down so ticks and fleas would be easier to see, but i was wondering i use the frontline, can they still get fleas if you use it every month. I have caught a tick on him but it hadn't embedded, it was just crawling on his fur. |
