| Water at night? My friend says to leave water in the cage at night as puppies need lots of water. I've never done this nor have I seen this recommended. Does anyone else leave water in their puppy's cage at night?

| How old is your puppy? If it's really young, that might help determine if you should leave water out or not. My two have access to food and water all day long, but at night they don't. When I first brought KaCee home, I'd let her eat and drink a little bit when she'd wake up to potty in the middle of the night.

| Sorry, I didn't say Sophie is almost 16 weeks. I hadn't thought of having water available to her at night. Of course, when at first she'd get me up at night, I'd offer her water then, but that was only for a week or so. I just wondered, my friend keeps it in her puppy's cage. Her puppy is the same age, but is a Shihtzu.
