| Mia is getting spayed Hi All, I am very nervous about Mia's surgery. she is 5 months and about 4 1/2 lbs. any advice you can give me is greatly appreciated. She will be microchipped & spayed on the same day; the vet is charging me $600 for the surgery (overnight stay, spaying, microchipped, lymes shot). please let me know what you all think?? Thanks Again all for your advice. JH |

| That is great that you are having her microchipped too! You don't have to do this, but you might want to get the rest of her baby teeth pulled too. When she comes home, don't let her lick her stitches. Don't let her run around and play too much either.Hope I helped you! Good Luck!

| She should be just fine. Does someone stay overnight with her? Why a Lyme's Disease shot? They may not be very effective and could be linked to kidney damage. Is it that bad in your area?
