| What do you use to brush your Yorkies Teeth? Just wondering what everyone uses to brush their Yorkies teeth and what do you recommend starting with for a puppy? TIA Susan Piper, arriving in less than 3 days! |

| Welcome to YT! I use an enzyme-based beef flavored toothpaste daily, and Petzlife Oral Gel a few times a week. Yorkiecrazy also told me about using a cat toothbrush. It works better than anything else I've found. Thank you Jaimie!

| My vet has very small tooth brushes that fit perfectly in my furbabies mouths. I use C.E.T. poultry tasting toothpaste. Order it off the net because it is cheaper in bulk than at the vets. After brushing I rinse each dog's mouth with C.E.T. dental rinse that is supposed to help with tartar. I do it religiously every night. When I think I'm too tired and want to skip the routine, I think about the vet bill and I take the time. The routine also includes brushing their hair/fur every evening. They know the routine and line up waiting their turn.

| petzlife is great, you can just put it on your finger & get it into their mouth. It works tight away. http://www.petzlife.com/ - you can get it a lot of places, but their website explains how it works

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | It's good to start as a puppy because they get use to it. They don't like it, but they will tolerate it. I use the poultry toothpaste too, with a child's toothbrush, I buy at the dollar store because he really ruins them fast. I also use the Petzlife gel and spray.

| Thanks! Thanks everyone for all the great information! I want to start a routine with grooming and brushing teeth right from the beginning. Thinking about the vet bill is a great incentive. Susan Piper, arriving March 20th! |

| I use CET vanilla mint toothpaste (smells like rootbeer floats) everyday with a toddler toothbrush. I also use OraVet once a week.

| I Just Switched From Petzlife To Cet Vanilla Mint Toothpaste And I Think Cet Is Way Better Than Petzlife. I Also Bought Off Of Entireleypets.com 2 Toothbrushes, One Is A Cat Toothbrush And The Other Is A Very Small Tiny Brush On A Plastic Piece That You Stick Onto Your Finger And You Can Get To All The Hard To Get At Spots. Sammy Gets His Teeth Brushed Every Night , He Just Lays On My Lap And I Go Into His Mouth And Start Brushing. It Is Worth The Small Effort When You Think About Putting Him Under To Get His Teeth Cleaned. |
