| best dog food HEEEELLLLPPPPP!!!!!!. Does anyone know of a dry dog food that has NOT been affected by any recalls or law suits and is "healthy" to feed or furbabies. I feel that no matter what I do I can be feeding them something harmful....from kibble to home feeding. It is either on recall or not the right ingredients. Is there any answere or do we take our chances no matter what we try.....even suppliments can be tainted if they are processed and if you make your own then you never know if it is the right amount of what ever they need. SO Cnfused!!!! Thanks for anyone out there with a mind that is clearer than mine. My kids gotta eat. tina

| Any food or supplements can be contaminated (including human food). Could you talk to a nutritionist about homecooking? Canidae has had no recalls and Wellness hasn't either but the Wellness canned is made at Menu, so I wouldn't use the canned perconally. I know that lawsuit is scary but really all dog food companies could potentially be sued. The problem is they say their food is human grade but that can be misrepresentation because there is NO SUCH THING. Food is either "fit for human consumption" or "unfit for human consumption". Unless I saw the words "fit for human consumption" on a bag on dog food, I wouldn't consider it safe for humans. It is all in marketing, so it is important to ask the company specific questions. Most, if not all, dog food meat is left over. Just because it is a premium brand doesn't mean that the meat isn't diseased. This is ONE of the reasons why so many companies are getting sued, I believe. They are just misrepresenting themselves in different ways to make the product look better.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I feed Canidae All Life Stages. It is highly regarded among kibbles.

| Innova hasn't been recalled and if I were to feed any dog food, it would definately be this one. It's "the" best dog food on the market. |

| What about Dick Van Pattens Natural balance small bites.for small breed? It seems to have healthy ingredients and no corn.

| Hi guys....it's 10:30pm and I just got in from work about 1/2hr ago...whew long day. This is very perplexing....I wanted to home cook but I am not ready with all the right supplements. I think I will have to go back to 80% dry dog food until my busy season is over.....about 4 more weeks. We still have about 1/2 a small bag of Innova then I think I will try Canidae...it's the only one that I have heard of that I don't think had a recall. But every time I feed the furkids I wonder if I am doing right and if they will be healthy. Boy this happened this time of year last year too. I had them on Natural Balance, Royal Canin, Nutro and now Innova.....one right after the next. Tina

| I bought the Natural Balance at Petco. Here's a link to info/anaysis: http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/dog...tml#Guaranteed I didn't see it on the last recall list that someone posted here last week, so I thought that is was OK. My last Yorkie had allergies so I thought this would be a good choice to start my new puppy on.
