I had all my wisdom teeth pulled. It's a bit rough because mine were impacted so they had to crack them to remove them. I just took a local. I recommend Aleve afterwards..it helped me when the Tylenol with Codine wouldn't work. They will usually do two (one side at a time, top and bottom) at a time. That way you can chew on the other side. Good luck.

Senior Yorkie Talker | thank you for the advice! did your lulu come out of it alright? i am so concerned my bella wont you never know but in the long run if it is better for her then i have to. i have to have 4 removed on the bottom and i would rather have the local than the general anesthesia. |

Lulu came out like a trooper. Mind you she was only 3 lbs at the time. Definitely best for her to have it being as they can suffer from lots of ailments when it comes to double teeth. I didn't want to be put to sleep. I just had the regular stuff and was fine. Just make sure to take a pain killer as soon as you get home. I made the mistake of sleeping and when I got up the novacaine had worn off and my mouth was hurting like hell.

| Well all together I've had 11 teeth pulled out. I had too many teeth! 5 Root Canals. Spacer. Braces... I can't remember everything. But I do have a $20,000 smile thats for sure. My dad's dental insurance couldn't wait to get rid of me! I've had the pill that sedates you, and I've been put under, and I've had the shots that just numb everything.... I was okay with all of them. The pills are pretty nuts though, I was one crazy lady that day... So I hear. Good luck to both of you!

| I don't blame you for not wanting to have it done. I guess I'm a pro! I really liked the sedation with the 2 pills. I took them before I left to go to the dentist and when I got there I sat there for not too long before I don't remember anything. My brother took me. I think that was the most pleasant time that I had with having work done. I was awake when I left the office, it was nice. I didn't feel yucky from it either. I didn't like having teeth pulled when they just gave me the shots because I could feel the pressure of them pulling the tooth out, and it was horrible to me. But I don't know if that is for everyone. I'm a big baby too! So you'll do just fine! I had the old braces for 3 and 1/2 stinkin years. YUCK! As soon as I got mine on they came out with those invisible ones. Jerks. Oh well.
