She weighs 10lbs...I feed her light blue buffalo. It says half a cup a day. I give 1/4 in the morning the other for dinner. When I give her the food she eats it soooooo fast she doesnt chew each kibble some she shallows whole. I dont want her to do that.. I want her to enjoy her breakfast and lunch Does anyone have suggestions on what I should do?? I want her to lose a little weight so she doesnt gain more and more. But I dont want her to feel that I'm not feeding her...

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | http://www.brake-fast.net/ this is a bowl designed to make them eat slower because they cannot inhale the food. They have to eat around the pegs so it takes them a little longer. Or, if you want to try something before you purchase something, you can take their food and spread it out on a baking pan so that its harder to eat fast.

| You need a Brake-Fast Bowl!!! The small size is perfect. Loki slows down from 30 seconds to two minutes... he is 12 pounds and also eats 1/4c & 1/4c. http://www.barkaholics.biz/collectio...rake-fast-bowl

| That bowl is really clever! Another thing you may consider is to give her smaller, more frequent feedings. Hungry dogs will bolt their food. Try taking the amount she should eat in a day and breaking it into 4 or (better yet!) 6 smaller meals. You will actually be able to cut back on the quantity of her food because the more frequent meals will be more effectively metabolized. It's worth a try ... |
