| I think Tyler is sick I need your opinion here at YT. Has anyone had these symptoms? This morning my Tyler 5 years old was doing fine. He had his normal dry food that he always has. Then my daughter called me mid-morning and said he was acting weird like he had trouble vomiting but he did not vomit. So I came home and he was weak, but still eating, he did have enough energy to go outside to do his business, his stool and urine seemed normal. But then I noticed that he was breathing heavily but we came inside and he ate. He seemed to have like a gagging sound when he tried to swallow but this only happened once. My Vet closes early on Wed. so I am taking him in tomorrow or tonight if he gets worse. I've been all over the internet the only thing I can think is upper respitory infection although he is not coughing or has a runny nose. I am worried sick. He is just very sleepy and looks sick. I just said the magic words " treat time" and he did get up to get his treat but he seems very weak. Should I be worried

| Thank you for your responses. he slept good all night except at one point I heard him breathing really hard and then it stopped and he was breathing normally. He did not get into anything because he was on my daughter's bed in the morning. It was when she put him on the floor that she noticed he wasn't himself. This morning he ate when outside and pooped and peed normally but he is still walking very slowly. He is just not himself. My daughter is taking him to the vet this morning. I know it doesn't sound or look serious but I just hate seeing him like this. I'll let you know what the vet says. Thank you all for your help

| Keep us posted, I hated it when Otis was sick. He had a really bad cold right after I got him. I worried the whole time.... Our whole first couple of weeks consisted of vet visits, medication time, and worrying. He got better then we started the fun stuff... I hope your baby starts feeling better soon...Its probably nothing serious......

| Thank you all for all of your great advice. Tyler went to the vet and of course on the way there he had all this energy but I still took him, I was sick worrying. So the vet ran all kinds of blood tests, $200.00 worth checked out his ears she thought he might have a yeast infection but that was negative. The blood came back that he was a bit dehydrated, his organs were fine and all the other tests were ok. She thought it might be viral (one of the results white blood cell count was a little elevated) and because of the blood work maybe about to turn bacterial so she put him on clavamox antibiotics and a vitamin gel that he loves. He did have a runny nose throughout all of this but it was nothing major. He is back to normal and we are all sooooo happy.

| Its hard to know what is wrong when these little ones get sick. It can be so scary when they don't act like themselves. I'm glad you have him on meds and he sounds like he will be fine. This weather is so bad for sure to keep them sick.
