| Hacking Hi. Our puppy Lexie seems to hack regularly - it's like a cat with a furball. She has yet to hack anything up, or to throw-up, and she seems plenty healthy otherwise. Good appetite, good energy. Is the hacking normal Yorkie stuff? |

| could be reverse sneezing or collapsing trachea. only way to know would be to take her to the vet.

| sometimes Lacy does that when she plays with her plush toys...I think she might get some fibers in her mouth that she swallows and they get stuck causing her to cough. It doesn't happen that often. If it did, I would wonder about collapsed trachea

| I guess we'll just need to monitor it and make a vet appointment if needed. Lexie's just a pup and the collapsing trachea things seems to happen most often in older dogs. I thank you for your information. |

| My yorkie, Kaba, did that when we first brought her home. Turns out it was kennel cough and was treated really easily. How long have you had your puppy? |

| My does the same when she is excited or running with other dogs or with her plush toys. I don't get too concerned when it only happens once in awhile. |

| my furbie has the SAME thing. when he did it more regularly, i freaked out a took him to the ER vet. yeah... turns out.. its NOTHING. he coughs when he runs or plays alot, when he eats way to fast, and just out of the blue. and he reverse sneezes. spent tons of money for tests and visits to find out its nothing. the only thing i would watch for if your pup is repeatedly having trouble swallowing food or treats or his personality or attitude changes, then and only then i would call your vet. much luck!
