| what to use for training treats? My little Chihuahua, Kozanna, does not like cheerios. She also doesn't like yogurt, cottage cheese, or pumpkin, all of which are good for digestion. I hope she eventually develops a taste for those. I am very careful about what she eats because she is so small (4 lb). I need something she likes to give her when she comes to me or does other good things, something that won't upset her tummy. I free feed her Wysong Synorgon food and she likes it and eats good. I will try using the Wysong kibble as treats, but would like some other ideas. What do some of you use that won't upset small tummies or cause them to gain lots of weight? |

| I have to watch Lady's treats, too, since she is a diabetic. My favorites are Charlee Bear, Liver Biscotti and the sweet potato mini Buddy Biscuits. |

| I found a great treat that my dogs love and they are called Yummy Chummies. They are made from Alaskan Salmon. I found them at Petco

| i also use the mini soft buddy biscuits (the bacon cheese flavor) ... that way i can break them into very small pieces and they are still happy as an extra special treat, i also use AFS green beef tripe (ick lol) but i swear those two will do anything for that .. i expect them to be doing advanced calculus soon

| I have those too, the boys seem to like them but be prepared for the "fishy" smell when you open the bag. Yorkie Yummies are excellent for training, Chattiesmom makes them. They are made with beef liver, brown rice, eggs, and they come in bite size pieces. I also use itty bitty buddy biscuits chewy and hard.

| I was going to say Charlee Bears also but if she doesn't like Cheerios, she might not like these. We will be getting some Yorkie Yummies from Chattiesmom soon and from what I understand they can be cut to even smaller pieces to be used for training. They've gotten rave reviews so far on YT!

| Gracie loves Simon and Huey's soft training treats. Holly and Gracie both love cheese and Pup Peroni. Yorkie Yummies are popular as well but crunchy treats tend to be distracting when training.

| Tia has a few favorites for training. Usually, I use Ceaser's dry kibble. I will give her 1 bit each time she does a command correctly. I sometimes use Benny Bullie's freeze dried liver snaps, that I break into tiny pieces. These are "smellier" so they're great when she's a little distraced in class or on a walk. For training to potty outside I would use pupperoni, but only a piece about 1 inch long....no more. Also, Yorkie Yummies that are sold by Chattiesmom (i think) are great! I know that not all of my choices are the healthiest, but they are not the mainstay of her diet, and I limit how much I use them in a day.

| My babies are crazy about the Natural Balance Lamb and Rice dog food roll. Every night a bedtime I slice and cut up in small pieces some of this. It makes wonder treats and it is more economical than buying little bags of treats. A 4 lbs chub is about $9 at Petco. I keep it in the refrigerator after opening it and just use a little each night. Mine also love steamed broccoli and sweet potatoes as treats. |
