| Best puppy food? What is the best puppy food? I'm getting a puppy on Saturday and she is eating Beneful or something like that? Beau eats Innova Evo, and my pet store doesn't carry their puppy food if they even have one. Any suggestions?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hmmm, EVO is such a good food. You could get an all life stages food like Canidae or Nature's Variety Instinct would be great too - grain free too.

| Evo is for all life stages. You can feed that to a puppy

| Beneful is really not a good food...If you do a google search, there are several instances where dogs have had serious problems with this food. I agree that Innova is a good food. Maybe the store could start ordering the puppy Innova for you??

| I can feed that!! That would make everything so much easier! I was wondering how I was going to keep Beau out of Lexie's food and vice versa.

| RC or ? My girl was on RC and was doing fine. then all of the sudden she started to get the runs... I spend about 500.00 in vet bills running test. She'd get better and there it is again. she had three bouts and then I got fed up. I dint' know what to do... it was the time of recall on RC and although the yorkie brand was not on the recall list I switched her food during her last bout. THe next day her stool was normal. I've had no problem since! she is now on Fromm. It might have been that she was allergic to some ingredient as she used to always itch as well. she no longer itches after a meal either. Her stool is always consistent and she has more energy. I'm sure there are a lot of good products out there. But I wanted to switch her to human grade meats. RC is not human grade.
