| How Much to Feed? I feed Tucker a 1/2 cup of Canidae All Life Stages and a tsp. of Missing Link a day. He is a poop machine...seriously, I am shocked by how much poop such a little puppy can generate (he is about 6.5 lbs.) Am I giving him too much food?

| I have the same question as you do! Sully is only 6 months old and almost 5 pounds, and I leave food out all the time but he probably doesn't eat more than 1/2 to 3/4 cup a day, and poops 3x in a day sometimes!! It's amazing how much poop such little things can produce isn't it? |

| When they are growing they eat a lot and therefore poop a lot. When they are fujll grown, both the eating and the pooping will slow down. Also it can depend on the type of food you give them, some foods have a lot of filler and very little nutrition. but if you are feeding a high quality food, that should not be the case. |

| well i don't know much about Canidae... i'm pretty sure it is a great food, however... Layla used to be a 2 time pooper... but now that i home cook she only poops once... her body is using all of the food that is put into her body because it is whole ingredients... so because the kibble is not fresh food their body doesn't need to use all of it so more comes out... does that make sense? i wouldn't worry about it.. as long as the poops are nice and firm you are good |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | When i had morgan on Canidae she pooped a lot too. It depends on your dog really. Some feed it and their dogs only poop once a day while others like mine will poop 2-3 times a day. Now that i've changed her to RAW she only poops once a day.
