| Hello. My sister in law went through this problem for almost a year with her Great Dane. Needless to say, she was at witts end as it was quite the big leak coming from a Great Dane. She finally mentioned it to her vet who prescribed a low dose of medication to try her on. The vet says the older girls who are spayed can br prone to it. She was on the lowest dose of meds for 2 days and no more leaking. I think she said it costs her about $19 every 6 weeks or so. But not a drop since and it has been months. Perhaps you can mention it to your vet and see what options are available. Best of Luck.

| Hopefully that will take care of it. I am hoping it isn't another UTI. I need a vacation.

| Don't even get me started on UTI My collie had incontinence and went to the vet, diagnosed with UTI. She wouldn't prescribe anything for incontinence until the UTI was cleared. Well, we've been treating the UTI for 3 months now - urinalysis, xrays, blood work, cultures, etc, etc and were in it for about a $1000 right now. Hopefully this round of anitbiotics cleared it. Will have new urnalysis done at end of the week. At least the leaking is not steady anymore - Can I go on vacation with you too?

| That's what my vet said, too. Too young when they are spayed can cause problems because their urinary system isn't fully developed yet, same with neutering too young. I would not do it before six months.

| Ellie is six years old. She had a UTI that we couldn't get rid of this year. Then she was fine. A couple weeks ago I noticed her peeing inside again. The vet did a u/a and culture. Everything looked fine. She thought it might be behaviorial or possible diabetes insipidus. We were just going to wait it out. After her spay (last Wednesday) she was doing fine then over the weekend she peed on a blanket (not like her at all). She is peeing in her onsies (maybe about two times). Now she went pee twice in an hour and a half (outside like a good girl) but that isn't like her. She usually pees no more than about 5 times a day. So now I don't know whether it is behaviorial, another UTI from the spay, urinary incontinence or something else. Thanks for that link by the way. Yes you may join me on vacation.
