| Groomers -- Oster, Wahl, or Andis Clippers? I'd really like to start grooming Ariel myself (and to save some $$ in the long run). I'm looking at petedge.com and see Oster, Wahl, and Andis clippers. Does anyone have a preference between the 3 brands? Pros? Cons? Any input would be great! |

| I've been using an Andis for three years and just yesterday ordered the Oster Golden A5 single speed, it came with a free oster trimmer. My whal is starting to go too. I can't wait to try it out, in about 5 more weeks. I just groomed Buddy last Mon and realized how dull the blade was getting. I sure got my use out of the Andis but it was heavy. The Oster looks lighter, it's definately thinner than the one I've been using. I ordered it from PetEdge. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I use an Oster Powermax and have been very pleased with it's performance over the past 3 years. After it goes out, unless they've come up with something better, I'll buy the Oster Golden A5, like Carol. The good reviews I read and trusting Oster's other products over the years made my decision easier. The Wahl trimmer are great, I've used the same one now for 4 years for shaving ears, trimming feet.

| I've used the Wahl with Sadie since she was a baby. Just be careful about the setting you use - when I first started using it - I accidently clipped her ear too short and she bled - but that might just have been my inexperience at that - never had any problems since them.

| I prefer my old Oster Golden A5 too, just watch out for hot blades and also if your lil ones are sensitive around their faces the Osters might take some getting used to since they vent air out by the blade attachments for cooling purposes. |

| I would go with a 2 speed Oster just dont forget to get a can of blade coolant. The blade gets hot no matter what clipper you use and can cause burn to your furbaby.
