| Grooming bands Latex vs. Non Latex Hello YT's, I have never used grooming bands on my furbabies and was wondering if I should use latex or non latex or niether?? Since our bangs have grown out our little barrets don't work well any more. Any suggestions?

| Hi ~ I actually use the little latex bands for Harley and they're for humans. I get them at walgreens, multi colored pack, very inexpensive, and they hold very well. I've been using for months and had no problems. Also, they're not hard to get out like other's I've tried and they don't make tangles.

| I find that the latex ones hold better, but they end up getting all tangled. I generally use the cheap little human terrycloth pony tail holders for everyday. They don't tangle, but the girls seem to pull them out easier. I think they are conspiring to drive me crazy. |

| I use tiny bands I buy at a beauty supply shop that carries supplies for braiding African American hair. The bands come in dark brown and clear. They don't tear Sophie's hair and they're actually easy to get out... even though they stay in all day. Also very inexpensive! Once I use a band to put her top knot in, I clip her barrettes (which are on tiny 30mm French barrettes) into a bit of the hair under the band. The band gets hidden by the barrette and the barrettes stay in all day. It's cheating, I suppose, but it works for us! :-) |

| Thank You YT's, We bought a whole bunch of littel bands and really cute barretts last night. We also did tubby night last night in preperation for our new hair doo's. I posted some new pic's of bath night and as you can see my girls did not have any patients left for top knots. Hopefully tonight we will take pretty hair pic's!!

Ooo, great idea! I haven't tried barrettes yet, but I think I will. The topknot bows with the bands seem to twirl all the time >_>
