| Boys and bows? Whenever I thought about a yorkie, I always wanted a little girl, to dress her up with all the frills and bows. We ended up falling in love with a little boy instead. Is there anything fun we can do with him as far as dressing him up? I'm thinking the groomer that I may be using (referred by a friend) does bows or bandannas. Do you put a bow on your boy? I am thinking we will keep Maximus in a puppy cut anyways, but I was just wondering what others did.

| ALL yorkies wear bows in the show ring girls AND boys! But if you don't fancy the long coat you could keep the body short but grow the hair on the face and head for a topnot! Have a look around, there are some on YT!

| I've only put Hot Rod's hair up in a topknot with a band lately. I used to put a pony tail holder on. It was kind of a comrpomise between us.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I thought I would keep Joey in a puppy cut, but I grew to love the longer hair, and especially the topknot, Joey doesn't wear bows everyday, usually just a clip with the topknot, but you can find matching bows for clothing that looks very manly.

| When I kept Reg in full coat I always had bows in his hair, usually black ones or plain blue or red. Nothing with lace or ribbons.

| Both my boys have topknots at TONS of boy bows. Ladymom makes FANTASTIC boy bows, and will custom make them for sports teams, outfits, etc. You can also go to mygofetch.com and Des makes AWESOME harness vests for the boys. Totally adorable. Ladymom will custom make bows to match the vests, too. A few sets of matching vests and bows and you're all set!!

| i prefer bandanas for our yorkie. we love to keep his hair short cuz we are in south florida and he appreciates that. so not alot of hair for the bows. I have also used doggie gel to give him a mohawk too one day while we were at old town... he got alot of attention for being so "different" and cute i usually cut my own bandanas. find a material i like and cut it so my dogs match |
